Some squares hide mines. Dig a square to open it: a number tells you how many of its eight neighbours are mines. Open every safe square to win: you never need to flag, but it helps. Your first dig is always safe and always opens a patch of the board.
Mouse: left-click digs, right-click plants a π©. Click a number whose flags are all placed (or press both buttons on it, or the middle button) to chord: that opens all its other neighbours at once. A wrong flag means a chord can blow up, so be sure.
Touch: tap digs, long-press flags. Switch βοΈ Tap digs to π© Tap flags to swap them. Tap a finished number to chord.
Keyboard: click the board (or Tab to it), then ββββ move, Space/Enter digs or chords, F flags, N starts a new game, P pauses.

Daily: one shared 16Γ16 board a day, and everyone in the world gets the same mines, with a starting patch already opened. Hit one and you can retry; the day's record keeps your first clear and how many tries it took.
